2025 NFL Season Round Up Through the First 4 Weeks

Standout Teams & Moments

Philadelphia Eagles have looked every bit like reigning champions, storming to an undefeated 4-0 start. Their latest war of attrition came against Tampa Bay, where they escaped 31-25 thanks to a blocked punt touchdown and stingy defense in the second half. Special teams have become a decisive edge already.

In the AFC, Buffalo Bills lead the way in this early cycle. Through four games, they top the AFC East with a perfect record and are viewed by ESPN analysts as a favorite to contend again this postseason.

Pittsburgh Steelers also grabbed headlines by taking part in the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Dublin, Ireland. Aaron Rodgers, at 41, looked vintage — 18-of-22 for 200 yards and a touchdown — in their 24–21 win over Minnesota.

But perhaps the most jaw-dropping result came in Week 4: a wild 40–40 tie between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. Three lead changes in the final quarter, huge offensive numbers, and a 53-yard field goal to force overtime ensured it will be remembered as one of the greatest ties—and games—in NFL history.

Breakout Individuals

Puka Nacua has already made a strong case for Offensive Player of the Year, if not more. In just four games, he leads the league with 503 receiving yards on 42 catches. He’s making defenses pay in every matchup, showing consistency and explosiveness.

On the ground, Jonathan Taylor lives up to expectations. He leads the league in rushing yards through the early slate and continues to be a reliable workhorse for Indianapolis.

In the passing game, Dak Prescott is topping the charts with 1,119 yards already, showing Dallas' aerial game is humming.

Teams Under Pressure

Not every franchise is off to a strong start. Tennessee Titans have yet to win and were blanked 26–0 by Houston in a humbling performance.

Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns are trending poorly in their divisions. Miami is yet to win, and New Orleans has yet to join the win column.

The Dallas Cowboys’ high-flying offense continues to produce, but that 40–40 tie shows vulnerabilities in defense that may be exploited by sharp offenses later in the year.

Early Takeaways

The 2025 NFL season is off to a brisk and unpredictable start. The Eagles cementing dominance, the Bills holding control of their conference, and several shocking games (Cowboys-Packers tie, Steelers in Dublin) are setting the tone. If the next dozen weeks continue this level of competition, we’re in for one of the most memorable regular seasons in years.
